Inspired

i get inspired so easily...whether it be something i see, hear, feel, etc.
City and C0lou
has totally got me inspired to pick up the guitar i have laying in my house, acquire some calluses on my already viola-callused fingers, get over my stupid fear of singing in front of others, and learn some songs.

You know what i'd love to learn how to do?
Write songs.
Like lyrics and stuff....
I get so jealous of people, like my amazing brother Cameron,
because he can sit down in one night and write a song
that, when you read the lyrics, sounds like he had countless
nights trying to figure out the perfect words and phrases.
Nope. One night.
and they're good too!
why didn't I get that gene???
I came across this song, Yellow by Jem
a while ago. its very calming. her voice is like mine...or rather, mine is like hers. very airy. i keep thinking, well if i can sound like her, i could totally sing this song as well as her! maybe i'll try someday.

Relationships:
can i just talk for a minute? I've been in plenty of relationships, and the one thing i keep seeing is,
after a certain point, everyone gets boring. i'm blunt, by the way. I keep thinking, maybe its me. i think it is. how could it be anything else? I saw on a movie once, the woman character kept saying how SHE wasn't ready for a relationship. and people these days take "i'm not  ready for a relationship" as: i don't want a relationship with YOU. or try harder. somethin or other.
I really and truly feel that i'm never ready. like, i'm not cut out for a relationship. i wish i were. How do i change this.

Erin, my sister, and I played in the pit orchestra for "Into the woods" these past couple of weeks. I have to say, tonight (4/09/11) being the last night, i miss it so much. one thing i know about myself is, i hate change. and the fact that this particular show/cast members/orchestra mates are very close to my heart, i'm sad. we had 9 performances with two dress rehearsals. i' got invited by David Dwelle, conductor, over facebook. i just have to say, everything is revolved around facebook. ridiculous haha Erin kinda dropped my name to him and he contacted me. and i'm so glad he did! This experience has been amazing. ok. so let me tell you about the people i met.

First: David. SO cute. ahem i mean handsome. David is very humble, and has the best facial expressions. I love watching him conduct. He is so in his element it seems like. I don't know him that well because this was my first production with him...but he is a really nice, fun guy!

MaRtHa: Martha is the cello player. She has blonde hair and glasses and super funny. She became my friend when she took my offer for peanut m&ms. Usually people say, oh no thanks. its ok. she doesn't. she knows what she wants and she will make it happen. I really like that about her. Martha's daughter was in the play--a stepsister who goes blind in the second half. Very funny =) Martha also joined the group of buying sustenance for me, david thorpe, and barry, and of course, anyone else who wanted some. We all become real fun good friends.
I got the first peanut m&ms and caramels.

barry: Barry is so annoying. reason being because he "SWEARS" he doesn't use the scrabble helper although EVERY word he plays on Words With Friends is 30 points or more. He's a cool guy though. :) He's closest to my age, so i know a little bit more about him than Martha, David, and David Thorpe. Apparently he sings (like Ryan Adams) and plays the guitar. I have yet to hear him. Likes everything i hate, as food goes. ie sushi, thai, cheeseburgers....i dont mind cheeseburgers but eh? not my first pick. Barry is one of the FEW guys, to me, who has a mustache and goatee and pulls it off quite well. His teeth are perfectly straight and he likes to joke. "You jest!!!" thats one of my favorite lines in Into the Woods. He is taken, as am i. 22....

David Thorpe: 1st viola player. I've played with David before in the side by side with the Sacramento Philharmonic years ago. He is a really fun man. haha every time i think about him i laugh because David is one of those men who spends more time texting and typing on his ghetto non-smart phone without T-9 texting, more than he actually talks on it. He is one amazing violist also. David can hear a bass line, and improvise on the viola. like jazz viola. which reminds me of one time before one of the shows started, Barry was fiddling on the bass, ha oxymoron, "fiddling" on the bass.....anyway, he was just walkin up and down on the bass and David heard him, and started jammin it up with him! they sounded awesome too! it makes me feel kinda stupid because i can't improvise like that. Good job David. :D He is a healthy bloke too. When i told everyone i was bringing in m&ms, David came in that night with a trader joe's bag and showed me what he had brought in. those funyon things, onion chips? GROSS. and carrots. then the next night, he said he brought in carrots and cough drops. haha i said something along the lines of, wow what a combo. :D What a guy. he's funny. I had fun with him while it lasted.
