Meet Erin:
I have been blessed with the BEST older sister in the world. She is the funniest person you'll ever meet. I'm serious when I say, when Erin walks into a room/situation it is so much better! She is GoReGeOuS--if you haven't noticed already. I love taking pictures of her because she makes ME look good!! so selfish of me =]... She is an accomplished flutist. She's sat 1st chair in the Sacramento Youth Symphony, All-state bands all over California, Wind Symphonies...you name it. She's also played with the Auburn Symphony as a soloist, and won numerous awards for her extraordinary talent. Not to mention, traveled to Brazil to perform with the Sacramento Youth Symphony. I am seriously proud to call this prodigy my sister. Erin is an exceptional photographer too!! What does this girl NOT have! :) I love having her in town to get professional pictures done for myself. Again, the selfishness sliding right in there...:) She will be in the Sacramento Area for the next little while, don't miss an opportunity to get your photoshoot with her!! Check out her website at www.photo1k.com
I admit, when we were little, I thought Erin was the shizzz...(maybe a little different wording--something like, Erin is totally super awesome!!) But anyway, since I thought that..i would maybe copy her sometimes?
The funny thing is...I STILL copy her! Check these out
not the most attractive picture of me...
pretty much look the same huh?
Erin's graduation--yay! she made it!
Over this last Christmas, which was (to me) the very best Christmas we've had, Erin and i realized how much SShiizzzllee she actually was to me!! My dad made the family a movie which i entitle "Dayton's Christmas Past". I think the whole thing was 2 and 1/2 hours long!! The movie had clips from every single Christmas the Dayton's had. From the very first Christmas, when i couldn't even walk...I would come in and see what Santa brought me...and after i glanced over everything i got, i would run over to Erin's pile and pick up her presents and steal them!! "Erin!! look at this! LUCKY!!!" "yeah amber, go look at your stuff!" The beginning wasn't as bad because I think Erin still liked me. But towards the more recent Christmas's, Erin would hold her stuff down and just talk to me about my stuff. But I couldn't help it! Erin always got the cooler presents! ;) Funniest video I've ever seen in my life probably.
In our teen years, Erin and i hated each other's guts!! I remember i would bug Erin so much whenever one of her friends came over, which is funny now because Aubrey does the exact same thing to Cameron and his friends, except on a more extreme level. Sometimes i got really down because i thought Erin and i would never be "friends". Just *sisters*. We would fight about every single little thing. For example: MY dice earings. (my being a side note) I was simply looking for my Favorite earings one day...and couldn't find them. A few days later, I found them in ERINS ROOM!!!! I flipped out! Yelled and argued with her until the parents came in...I still don't know where those earings are.....hmmmm. ;) Don't worry Erin. I'm over it.
I do remember, however, the day Erin and i became friends. Finally!! Easter 2008. The family visited Erin in Reno...We were all at the mall ready to get a picture with the easter bunny and Erin starts asking me questions...How's school? What's new? Any boys? I regret to say, boys are the reason why Erin and i came together. Sheesh :) I told her about my squeeze at that time, and a few words came out of my mouth that she could not BELIEVE!!! It was a pretty hilarious moment actually--watching Erin freak that i wasn't a "baby" anymore and somewhat mature and not as innocent as she thought i was. She then started asking me a BILLION questions!! I loved it! Erin and I have really became best friends since that moment. not just *sisters*
Its so great to have an older sister, and one who is as special as Erin. I love her so so so much.
