Learning to Flash

People pictures
1. Meter the Background by pressing the (green button)
2. Guess on flash exposure (sunny and on them, MORE flash. shady on them, maybe less flash)
3. Take a shot with flash first, and see how it looks.
4. Compensate if too light or dark with f/n brightness button
5. Take a shot without flash to compare

This is what i'm practicing. Every great photographer needs a flash. now, i always HATED flash because it looks so harsh and you can't capture all those candid moments. but the picture looks so much better with it. so, no matter how much i struggle to get this down, i'm GOING to get this down. i have a photoshoot tomorrow with whitney, addie, and kyle...so we'll see how it goes!!
